Embracing Africa

2015. Live brief with The High Life Centre in Coventry, UK.

Embracing Africa is a project that seeks to celebrate the African culture through an exhibition of arts, crafts, poetry, clothing, food and music. Through this exhibition, they want to educate people about their culture and, to enable African migrants to easily integrate into society, create awareness and more understanding of the diverse cultures that can be found in the UK. At the request of the client, I used this shape of a woman wearing a traditional turban and jewelry, combined with the chosen colours that would give a more African feeling to the logo, so as to successfully send across the desired message of culture, creativity and originality. The logo has also been used on the final design of their website.
